ABOUT MICHELLE HASELTON

Michelle Haselton is a local artist from Calpine, California, specializing in fiber arts and pine needle basketry.  Through her wanderings in nature, she finds connection and inspiration for creation, translating that expression of deep belonging in her art. All her creations use locally collected and sourced material, expressing the inspiration of her journey among the surrounding mountains, valleys and people.  Michelle's art offers an experience to connect with awareness to our natural world with the beauty that enriches our lives, worthy of our protection.  As a teacher, it is with intention of keeping cultural heritage alive, and with a love of connecting others with their own individual expression, as well as spreading connection with community and the Earth.
