Color is the most complex and the most captivating subject in painting. From conceptualizing light to mixing paint it has captivated artist's lives for centuries. In this introductory watercolour workshop, you'll learn about analogous and complementary colors as well as how to see, recognize and recreate atmosphere through color. We'll also delve deep into pattern and mark making with your brush and intution!

ABOUT ANKE HASS

Anke Hass has been serving in Truckee and North Tahoe as an artist- in-residence and creative instructor for many organizations such as Arts for the Schools, Martis Camp, Truckee Donner Park and Recreation and the Sierra College Truckee and Truckee Meadows Community since 1997. Her commission work focuses on drawing and painting and her genres are portraits and landscapes. She attended Wuppertal University, Germany and received a bachelor in Art and Design in 1986. Anke had the opportunity to work as an artist in Residence at the Wolfsburg Castle, Germany twice in early 2000, printing lithographs at University Braunschweig. She lives in Truckee, California.
