Join us for a fun unique way to work with screen printing. Beginners to intermediate screen printers will enjoy this workshop. Students will be creating multiple fun and colorful backgrounds with materials such as colored pencils, water colors, pens, and pastels on paper. Students will then screen print from a variety of prepared locally-inspired images onto their unique backgrounds. All students will get the feel of screen printing through this process, from set up, to pulling prints and cleaning up. Multiple unique mixed media pieces will be created for participants to take home and enjoy! This class is best for students aged 13 and above.

ABOUT HILLARY WILLIAMS

Hilary Williams is an artist living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area. She creates fine art screen prints on paper, mixed media paintings and illustrations in which she takes inspiration from her environments, the urban and natural landscapes and a fantastical imagination. Hilary received her BA in Printmaking from California College of the Arts in 2002 where she was presented awards including the Trillium Prize. Her work has been collected across the US, around the world and is currently displayed throughout the greater Bay Area and around the country. She also teaches workshops in screen printing in San Francisco and online workshops at Creativebug.com. Hilary now creates her work from her home studio in Sonoma County where she and her husband have started a homestead. In between creating art work you can find her milking goats, petting chickens, or canning vegetables.
